About Krillion

Krillion.org hosts playable rare-answer games and an original editorial library about recall, category mapping, and answer selection. Krillion.org is independently operated and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Krillion.io.

What this site does

The playable routes on this domain use a rare-answer format: a prompt defines a category, the player enters one answer, and recognized choices can receive different depth values. Daily, movie, sports, and geography collections provide different subject contexts. The question banks, scoring service, anonymous session progress, and published routes on Krillion.org are operated on this domain. A collection label describes a game theme; it does not mean that every possible prompt or answer has been published.

The editorial library approaches the same challenge from another direction. Its guides explain how a player can read a category boundary, retrieve several candidates, evaluate confidence, enter a clear name, and review a difficult round. Category field guides cover practical mental maps for geography, film, sport, science, history, arts, and language. They are intended to be useful even when a reader is not playing at that moment.

Editorial responsibility

The operator of Krillion.org is responsible for this editorial library and can be reached at [email protected]. Guides include worked examples, a self-check, and a practice method. Factual examples link to the source supporting the fact; fictional scenarios and invented decision exercises are labeled so they cannot be mistaken for player data or real events.

The guides deliberately avoid exposing the private recognized-answer lists used by the game service. Publishing those lists would weaken the playable experience and would turn editorial pages into database dumps rather than useful reading. The articles also avoid presenting an answer as globally rare unless a real, checked player distribution supports that statement. At present, the guides discuss likely salience as a decision problem, not as a measured percentage.

Sources establish facts; the guide explains how to use them in a decision. Museum collection records, government science references, and film catalogues support the public examples where relevant. The date on a guide records an editorial change, not a new game-bank release. If a source or explanation is wrong, send the page URL and the proposed correction so it can be checked.

How game content is handled

Published question banks are versioned and validated before they become part of a playable route. A prompt has a defined scope, and recognized answers are normalized through reviewed names and aliases. The browser does not receive the private answer schema. Timing, recognition, scoring, and completion are handled by the game service so a player cannot reveal the bank by inspecting ordinary page code.

An unrecognized entry is not automatically converted into a correct answer and is not collected for question-bank review. You can report a missing answer through the Contact page. A correction is checked against the prompt's scope before a future bank update. Optional AI-assisted judging is disabled by default; its data handling and the retention of legacy records are described in the Privacy Policy.

Movie data sources

Our movie questions use selected records from MovieLens 32M, IMDb datasets, The Movie Database (TMDB), the CMU Movie Summary Corpus, and Wikidata. These sources do not endorse Krillion.

The corpus and our adaptations of its data are provided under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 US. We normalize names and identifiers, select records using explicit question boundaries, and add spelling aliases; we do not reproduce plot summaries. This license applies to the CMU-derived material, not to unrelated source datasets or the application.

TMDB daily ID exports are used for title cross-references and spelling aliases. This product uses data from TMDB but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. The Movie Database (TMDB)

Wikidata structured records are available under CC0. Other sources retain their own applicable terms. Scores are editorial familiarity estimates, not measured player answer frequencies.

Music data credits

Our music questions use selected metadata from ListenBrainz, Discogs data dumps, Wikidata, and MusicBrainz core data. We cross-check names and release editions against artist and label references. These sources do not endorse Krillion. We use factual metadata, not audio recordings, lyrics, or cover artwork. Music answer scores are editorial familiarity estimates.

Music rounds use curated answer lists from the reference records collected on September 27, 2026 and corrected on September 28. These lists do not claim to include every real-world credit, release or genre description. The question keeps any decade, edition or collaboration limits; instruments may include vocals, and documented bonus tracks may count. An unlisted answer is not a factual verdict: try another while time remains, or report an omission through Contact.

What this site does not claim

Strategies help you compare answers; they cannot guarantee a score. Scores in the game come from its published answer bank and are not a live measurement of how often all players chose an answer. A worked example in a guide teaches a decision and does not promise that a particular answer will appear in a future game.

The site also does not present disputed category edge cases as shortcuts. Geography status, historical attribution, scientific classification, film credits, sporting terminology, and proper names can all require context. During play, clearer examples are usually stronger. During editorial review, uncertainty should be labeled and checked rather than hidden behind confident wording.

Relationship to Krillion.io

Krillion.org is independently operated and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Krillion.io. The games and guides on this domain are maintained separately. We cannot access Krillion.io accounts, payments, or player progress. Links to that website leave this domain and are governed by its own terms and privacy practices.

Corrections, rights, and accountability

Readers can report a factual correction, a missing or inappropriate game entry, a privacy request, or a rights concern through [email protected]. The same address is published on the Contact page and should be monitored as part of normal editorial maintenance. Reports should name the affected page or prompt and avoid passwords, session cookies, or unrelated sensitive information. Corrections should be reviewed against the page’s stated boundary and source before the public text or game bank changes. When a report leads to a public correction, maintainers should update the affected page carefully, keep the original category boundary intact, and avoid turning a private answer discussion into public answer-list disclosure.
