Privacy clarification updated September 23, 2026 · Advertising disclosure updated September 25, 2026 · AI provider notice version August 18, 2026
Privacy Policy
Krillion.org has no player accounts or contact form. It uses an anonymous game identifier to save progress, Vercel Web Analytics and self-hosted Rybbit analytics to understand site traffic, Google AdSense advertising, and an optional AI-assisted answer checker that is disabled by default.
Anonymous game progress
When you use a game API, Krillion.org creates a signed, HTTP-only krillion_player cookie. The game service associates that anonymous identifier with session state, submitted recognized answers, scores, and completion progress. Unrecognized submissions are not collected for question-bank review.
Optional AI-assisted answer judging
AI-assisted judging is disabled by default. If it is enabled for a reviewed subset of questions, an answer that is not found in Krillion's local answer bank may be sent to the DeepSeek API together with the public question and its acceptance and rejection rules. The model request does not include the player's cookie, anonymous player identifier, game session ID, device data, or Krillion's private answer list. If DeepSeek is unavailable or uncertain, the answer remains unrecognized and the game continues through the ordinary retry path.
DeepSeek processes the submitted text as an input to its service. Its current privacy policy says that inputs may be collected and that personal data may be processed and stored in the People's Republic of China. DeepSeek also states that downstream application operators are responsible for disclosing their own processing rules. Review the DeepSeek Privacy Policy and DeepSeek Open Platform Terms before submitting an answer. Provider policies may change independently of this page.
Vercel Web Analytics
Krillion.org uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views, referral sources, approximate location, device type, operating system, and browser information. Vercel reports this information in aggregate, does not use third-party cookies for Web Analytics, and uses a privacy-friendly daily hash rather than a persistent cross-site identifier. Learn more in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.
Krillion.org does not request a device’s precise location through the browser Geolocation API. Approximate country or city information reported by the analytics provider is derived from ordinary network request information rather than a precise-location permission.
Rybbit analytics
Krillion.org also uses a self-hosted Rybbit service at rybbit.chaodit.com to measure visits and page navigation on public pages. Your browser loads the analytics script from this domain and sends analytics requests to it. These requests include ordinary network request information, such as your IP address and browser information.
We also measure game views, starts, resumes, round starts, answer outcomes, completions, result-copy actions, and theme navigation. Event properties are limited to game and content versions, themes, modes, round numbers, outcome categories, score ranges, judging source and timing ranges, and navigation or copy status. These custom event properties do not include answer text, clipboard contents, player identifiers, session identifiers, or round tokens.
Google AdSense advertising
The homepage, strategy guides, how-to-play page, and standalone game pages use Google AdSense Auto ads. When a game is embedded on the homepage, the homepage loads the advertising script rather than loading it again inside the game. We have stopped loading the previous Adsterra banner and its advertising scripts.
Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, collect IP addresses or other device and browser identifiers, and process ad interactions to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure advertising. Google describes how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We use Google's consent management platform for advertising choices in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Where the consent message is shown, you can manage or withdraw your choice using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link that Google provides at the bottom of the page. Google AdSense requires a Google-certified consent management platform for personalized advertising in these regions. Declining consent may result in limited advertising or no ads, depending on eligibility and your choices.
We do not include submitted game answers, email addresses, phone numbers, account handles, or player identifiers in our AdSense configuration or ad requests.
This site is designed for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children. If that audience position changes, the site owner must update the relevant Google account settings and disable interest-based advertising where child-directed treatment applies. Krillion.org does not build advertising audiences from sensitive categories such as health, financial hardship, religion, political affiliation, sexual behavior, or sexual orientation.
External links
Links to Krillion.io, Vercel, DeepSeek, Google, or other external sites leave this domain and are governed by those sites’ own data practices. Opening a link does not transmit a Krillion game cookie to the external domain.
Data retention
The R1 retention policy keeps anonymous game sessions for up to 180 days after their last update (unfinished games are removed 7 days after their last update), legacy aggregated unrecognized-answer records for up to 90 days after their last occurrence, and expired rate-limit buckets for no more than one day. If AI judging is enabled, Krillion's cached AI verdict records expire after up to 90 days for accepted results, 30 days for rejected results, and 24 hours for uncertain results. DeepSeek's handling of inputs is governed by its current policies linked above. New unrecognized submissions are not added to that legacy question-bank review collection. Optional AI verdict caching is a separate process, described above.
When the database question-history feature is enabled, question IDs, server-recorded round starts and completions, and review-cycle progress are retained separately from game sessions. Older completed sessions awaiting history migration may be held beyond 180 days until their history migration is complete; unfinished games are still removed 7 days after their last update unless a migration for that browser is already in progress. These records and the original migration inputs are not deleted by the 180-day session cleanup; they remain until a separate deletion request or history-retention policy applies. A round-start record means the service accepted that round, not proof that you read the question. Older allocation-based records are marked as legacy seen.
Progress belongs to this anonymous browser cookie. Clearing or losing the cookie, using another browser, or switching devices does not restore or merge your previous history. Clearing the cookie does not itself delete the server records.
